Grilled Jamaican Jerk Wings
Ingredients
3 pounds Do Good Chicken Wingettes and Drumettes
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 small jalapeรฑo peppers, seeded and diced
1 onion, diced
ยพ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
ยฝ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
ยฝ cup soy sauce
ยผ cup honey
ยผ cup jerk seasoning paste
3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
2 scallions, thinly sliced
These Grilled Jamaican Jerk Wings are marinated in Jamaican spices and grilled to perfection for an easy, yet versatile, recipe thatโs perfect for a delicious lunch, dinner, or appetizer!
Directions
- To a blender, add the garlic, jalapeรฑos, onion, garlic, orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, honey, jerk seasoning, and ginger. Pulse until smooth.
- To a large resealable bag, add the chicken wingettes and drumettes. Pour orange juice mixture over the chicken, seal, and toss until well coated. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grease grates well.
- Transfer the chicken wingettes and drumettes to grill (discarding marinade) and cook, turning occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through and lightly charred.
- Garnish with scallions before serving.
Tips
- If you donโt have jerk seasoning paste, you can substitute a jerk spice rub or blend.
- Serve with rice and peas and/or tropical slaw as a main dish, if desired.
