Kung Pao Chicken Bites
Ingredients
1 pound Do Good Chicken Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast, cut into bite-size pieces
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon cilantro, minimal stems, finely chopped
ยผ teaspoon garlic, chopped
ยผ teaspoon ginger powder
2 each arbol chile, stem and seeds removed, ripped in ยผโ pieces
4 teaspoon Kung Pao sauce
1 teaspoon chili threads (store-bought, optional)
1/8 teaspoons black sesame seeds
ยผ teaspoon chives, chopped
These easy Kung Pao Chicken Bites are first marinated in a mouthwatering, slightly spicy, garlic/ginger/soy/sesame mixture, grilled to perfection, and slathered in Kung Pao sauce for a deliciously flavorful bite-size meal or appetizer.
Directions
Marinating Chicken
- Place first 7 ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Cover and place in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for 1 hour.
Grilling Chicken
- Place marinated breast bites on a grill or grill pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes then turnover and continue to cook for 1-2 more minutes or until fully cooked.
- Remove from the grill and place cooked bites in a small mixing bowl.
- Add Kung Pao sauce to the bowl and gently toss the bites to coat on all sides.
- Pile bites in a bowl or on a small plate.
- Make a โnestโ of chili threads and sit them on top of the stack of bites. (optional)
- Sprinkle top of breast bites with black sesame seeds and chopped chives and serve. (optional)
Tips
- Donโt stress over making this dish perfectly presentable. If you donโt have the suggested garnishes, itโs still just as delicious eaten as-is, straight out of the bowl.
- This recipe for Kung Pao Chicken Bites would also work well if using chicken wings or drumsticks. Marinate as suggested. When itโs time to grill, wings should take about 20 minutes, and drumsticks about 30-35 minutes. Chicken is safe to eat when the internal temperature reaches 165 โ.
- These Kung Pao Chicken Bites will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
